are familiar with dietary restrictions) visible on the app.
For the gluten free apps, whilst ratings are good for a quick
narrow down, written reviews are also important.
To decipher which aspect the information architecture structure should follow I carried out some research into different themed apps.
For restaurant bookings availability and distance are highly focussed on, with initial ordering based on nearby. In terms of imagery a combination of full width and mid sized are popular (given viewers are likely to choose on imagery)
Researching travel apps for their filtering and sorting, map view and image to text/info ratio. Takeaway apps for displaying restaurants along with the layout and positioning of filters and searches.
The apps final design was based on being bright, light and vibrant, with the user in mind to find gluten free restaurants, with a trusted rating system, whilst users are at home or abroad.
